As a licensee we are required to comply with the obligations of the Corporations Act and the conditions of our licence. This includes the need to have compensation arrangements in place with a Professional Indemnity insurer.

What services do we provide?

Pythagoras Investment Timing Index holds a licence to provide general advice services on the following financial products

  • Securities
  • Derivatives
  • Foreign Exchange contracts

These services are provided to both wholesale and retail clients.

The Pythagoras Investment Timing Indexes are based on a new, revolutionary mathematical understanding of the stock market. They show that events are predictable from changes in Volatility. This leads to signals to buy and sell ahead of the stock market shifts! It’s a flexible subscriptions based program. The services will be delivered via the Pythagoras Investment Timing Index (www.pythagorasinvesting.com) website.

Traditionally the stock market is analysed through events and once analysed and interpreted trading occurs.  Every competitor takes a slice or slices of this known data or information, re-dissects it and offers it back to the market place as an aid.  With on- going work and understanding, hopefully the person can use it to their advantage and increase their opportunity to invest and make money.  The problems with this traditional analysis are - people are reacting to information which everyone is in possession of; prices change after the event; everyone is trading the same way – once the horse has bolted.  Its circular – nothing new is known or created.

This is where Pythagoras is different; we offer knowledge in advance of the event which gives a better return for less time, ie we are offering a lifestyle. Clients don’t have to keep abreast of the geopolitics, or be market savvy, and they don’t have to employ another adviser. Pythagoras clients get more time to enjoy their life.

Michael Dee

Michael Dee will provide these services to you as a director of Pythagoras Investment Timing Index.

Trained in Accounting, Finance and Investment, Michael has spent his working life in the Finance Industry, specifically in wealth creation.

He rose through various Industry positions, culminating with him holding a Senior Management role with Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC). In this role Michael was extremely successful through his innovative approach to investment.

Within the Finance Industry, Michael is regarded as being technically strong, with a broad knowledge base. His approach has always been to challenge the status quo, always looking for the competitive edge to improve results.

Michael has long been aware of the effect of geopolitics on investment returns, recognizing that they are a subterranean force acting upon results. He became interested in the use of geopolitics to predict what event would take place next and its effect upon the market. In doing this Michael realised what an imprecise science it was.

When presented with the concept that predicting the timing of an event was more important than what the event was, he realized its significance and in order to pursue this line of work he left QIC to set up on his own.

Having established a successful boutique Funds Management company, Michael has worked tirelessly on developing a method of predicting changes in volatility in the market, with the resultant change in prices. This has been done using mathematical solutions, with all the complex work done electronically ‘behind the scenes’.

Michael’s working life has led him to this point, using an innovative approach, challenging the status quo, all with a view to changing investment dynamics in both individuals and organisations.

How the Service Works

The Pythagoras Investment Timing Indexes are based on a new, revolutionary mathematical understanding of the stock market.  They show that events are predictable from changes in Volatility.  This leads to signals to buy and sell ahead of the stock market shifts!  It’s a flexible subscriptions based program.  The services will be delivered via email and the Pythagoras Investment Timing Index (www.pythagorasinvesting.com) website.

Recommendations

Once you have chosen the listed Australian Stocks to which you wish to subscribe, any recommendations will be sent to your nominated email account.  The email will contain details of the buy or sell recommendation.

Pythagoras will generally email a notification of any recommendations during the middle of the day to be acted on the same day.

Buy Recommendations

When recommending buys, some recommendations make use of a price range of 101%, 103% or 105% of the base recommendation price and some don’t.  Where there is a price range, the top of the range is the maximum price you should pay.  Where there is no upper price range the maximum price payable is the recommendation price.  Our philosophy is that it is better to wait than overpay.

There are several hours in which your buying can be executed – many clients use limit orders over the day to buy to make it simpler.

Sell Recommendations

There will be lengths of time in between buy and sell recommendations – indeed there may be several recommended buys before a sell.  When the recommendation is to sell, we recommend selling immediately.  There isn’t a minimum price – just a sell.

Allocation of Capital

We believe the best approach to capital allocation is to subscribe to three to five stocks from different sectors to bring diversification to your portfolio.  With more stocks comes a greater overall success.  Choosing 3 or more stocks lead to significant discounts.

Commitment

Subscriptions are for 12 months.  Payments are made in advance - either pay 12 months in advance and receive a discount or pay monthly.  When you subscribe, you are expected to pay on receipt of your invoice.   If payment is not received, the subscription will end (under clause 10) and amounts owing will be pursued.  To reinstate the service, full payment and an administrative fee will be required.
